NextYou: building the app and cloud behind an AI health platform
NextYou's team built the AI models. We built the iOS and Android app, health data integration and cloud infrastructure that bring them to users.

The partnership
NextYou is an AI-powered health platform focused on helping people better understand their health and recovery. The NextYou team developed the underlying AI models. We partnered with them to build the application and the cloud infrastructure that brings that technology to users.
It's a common situation for AI companies: the core intelligence is strong, but turning it into a product people use every day takes a different set of skills — mobile development, data integration, cloud operations and release engineering. That's where we came in.
“Building AI products takes more than great models.”
What we built
Mobile app
One application for iOS and Android, giving users a single way into NextYou's AI health features.
Health data integration
The foundation for bringing mobile health and activity data into the app.
Cloud and AI deployment
A cloud environment to run NextYou's AI models, focused on performance, availability and efficient resource use.
Releases and reliability
A structured release process for safer updates and less disruption as the product evolves.

One app, two platforms
We built a single mobile application for iOS and Android, so users on either platform get the same experience and the same features at the same time. It also means one product to test and release, rather than two drifting apart.

Infrastructure built around the AI
AI models have different needs from a typical web app. They're heavier to run, more sensitive to latency and more expensive when resources sit idle. We designed and implemented the cloud environment around how NextYou's models actually run — balancing performance and availability against efficient use of resources.
The same environment was designed with growth in mind, so the platform can take on more users without needing to be rebuilt.
Safer releases
A health app can't afford a bad update. We established a structured release process with quality assurance built in, so changes are tested before they reach users and updates cause as little disruption as possible.
Own the application layer. So NextYou could stay focused on its models and core intelligence.
Design infrastructure for the AI. Sized and set up around how the models actually run.
Make releases repeatable. Quality assurance and deployment steps that work the same every time.
